‘Here am I.
Send me’
Encountering God, Living Sent.
Isaiah 6:8
A people who say Yes to God.
Six:Eight marks a bold new chapter for St Patrick’s in East Belfast. Inspired by Isaiah 6:8 “Here am I. Send me.” we are establishing a new community, rooted in scripture and alive in the Spirit. Our heart is to serve the city, raise and equip leaders, strengthen communities and reach those who are far from faith. As we prepare to launch in late 2026, we invite you to join us in saying, ‘Here am I. Send me’.
‘Here am I. Send me’
Rooted in heritage
St Patrick’s has served East Belfast since the 19th century, born out of rapid industrial growth and a heart for the local community. The present church, completed in 1893 to accommodate a congregation of 1,500, stood at the centre of parish life, with mission halls, Sunday schools and multiple weekly services reaching thousands. Severely damaged in 1941 and rebuilt in 1952, its story is one of resilience, faithfulness and a longstanding commitment to serving the people of East Belfast.
